* Giulia Mattioli *
Giulia’s spiritual journey started after moving from Italy to Scotland, where she started to get closer to yoga and its principals. After taking part in a shamanic retreat, she decided to follow her intuition and start travelling. To develop a deeper understanding of this discipline, she gained her 200hrs YTT in the South of India. This amazing experience taught her to live in harmony with herself and her surroundings and how important it is to share this knowledge with everyone.
This journey took her to discover New Zealand, where she started teaching Yoga in some retreat centers in the North and South Islands. This amazing land gave her the great opportunity to share her knowledge and wisdom in different occasions from festivals to workshops ans retreats, such as Voice of Sacred Earth Festival, New Zealand’s International Yoga Festival and NZ Spirit.
She is a reliable and respectful person, able to build a strong and trustworthy relationship with all kinds of people.

At Alkimia (Coromandel) – 1.5h from Auckland.
A temazcal is a dome with a circle dug in the middle to hold red hot rocks. Water is poured over the hot stones to create intense steam, and then you sweat ass off while doing a guided non-denominal spiritual ceremony.
The Temazcal is used not to nourish ourselves, instead we use it to confront our deepest person, our root. When we face and confront our fears, the inner smoke dissipates and we can clearly embrace our feelings, feel the core, the essential energy that keeps us alive.
Inside the temazcal we get to realise who we really are. We become equal to everyone and part of a group, unity; at this moment is when we realise that we are unique, different, and essential for the collective conscience.
